It is not often that I have the chance to try two different wines from the same producer. But I had the chance to try out two different wines from producer Azienda Vitivinicola Tola. Both are made of indigenous grape of Sicily. One from Grillo grapes and one from Catarratto grapes and both are of vintage 2015. Azienda Tola is situated near Palermo in the north of Sicily.
The Azienda Tola wine made from Grillo is very fruity and fresh, some pears and some grapefruit in the end. Very good.
The Azienda Tola wine made from Cattaratto has a very flowery smell. The taste is of pear and some citrus. Compared to the Grillo this is more intense than fresh.
All in all two good wines.
